Kingbird serves as a direct investor and/or strategic asset-allocator for Grupo Ferré Rangel’s family office and our co-investors. Investment Strategy

At Kingbird, we structure investment vehicles that include investments at various positions in the capital structure in a variety of multifamily property categories ranging from value-add to core-plus investments as well as select new development projects. We aim to source strong risk-adjusted investment opportunities either directly or through our established network of local operators.


We have invested in over 20,000 multifamily units across the U.S. and offer a demonstrated track record of generating strong risk-adjusted returns. Our intensive, research-driven approach to investing capitalizes on mis-priced risk, fundamental supply/demand voids and under served demographic trends that are driving the demand for housing.

Kingbird invests its own capital, along with that of its investors and operating partners, to capitalize on market inefficiencies to achieve stable cash flow, and value appreciation, while minimizing downside risk exposure.


Portfolio Objective

Kingbird’s objective is to systematically construct balanced investment portfolios that blend well-secured lower-risk investments such as mezzanine debt and preferred equity positions with moderate risk and mid-teen return value-add assets, as well as selective allocations to higher yielding development projects or heavy capex value-add assets.
